Clos Du Bois Winery
A Deliciously Fun Place To Visit
Clos Du Bois Winery is located north of Healdsburg, just off Highway 101. Wind your way up the scenic driveway and park your car in the shade, under the huge bank of solar panels. If you have an electric car, there are plenty of charging stations available. Sustainability is key here.
Let’s talk about the tasting room, picnic area, and of course, the wines. Shaded picnic tables and lawn games dot the beautifully landscaped large grassy area that surrounds the tasting room and winery. Vineyard tours and barrel tasting are available by appointment. This place invites you to relax and stay a while.
The large, airy tasting room features a horseshoe-shaped bar, complete with several comfortable barstools. Two large flat-screen TVs are mounted on the wall above the bar. A fantastic selection of wine and food related gifts beckons to shoppers. The tasting room team is friendly, informative and unpretentious.
No tasting appointment is needed – choose a flight of five delicious wines and enjoy!
Most of the wines featured in the tasting room are not nationally distributed – they are made from premium small lots and are quickly snapped up by wine club members and tasting room visitors.
All of the wines are great, but don’t miss:
2017 Gewürztraminer– Refreshingly dry and brimming with exotic spice and floral notes.
2014 Cabernet Franc– Sexy and silky, with oodles of plum, black cherry, mocha and spice from the first sniff, on through the long finish.
2014 Petite Sirah– Big, bold and plush, with generous layers of black cherry, plum and peppery spice.

A Timeless Marriage of French-Style Winemaking
with California Fruit
The French term “Clos Du Bois” literally translates to “Closed Wood” and refers to aging wine in oak barrels. At Clos Du Bois Winery, this French-style winemaking method, using only the best oak barrels to age wines made from some of Sonoma County’s best grapes, was started back in 1974 by Founder, Frank Woods.
Through the years, the wines of Clos Du Bois have garnered hundreds of awards, along with consistent critical acclaim. This tradition of excellence continues today, under the watchful eye of Winemaker, Melissa Stackhouse.
Clos Du Bois Winery, located at 19410 Geyserville Avenue in Geyserville, is open 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily.
