The Napa Valley Wine Train offers an engaging time that echoes the glory days of train travel, with fine dining service, multi-course meals cooked to order, Napa Valley scenery and ultimate relaxation aboard exquisitely restored antique rail cars. The Napa Valley Wine Train features vintage Pullman rail cars faithfully restored with Honduran mahogany paneling, brass accents, etched glass partitions and luxurious armchairs that evoke the spirit of luxury rail travel at the start of the 20th century. Conveniently located in downtown Napa and easily accessible, the Napa Valley Wine Train provides a car-free transportation option that bring guests from San Francisco to Napa Valley via the San Francisco Bay Ferry.
Quattro Vino Tours
The Napa Valley Wine Train announced the expansion of its inaugural and most successful tour-to-date, Quattro Vino, which now includes four new tours – Legacy, Estate, Collective and a fourth tour to be announced soon – that offer an exciting culinary and wine adventure featuring stops at three of Napa Valley’s most renowned wineries aboard beautifully renovated 1915 Pullman railcars.
Recognized by guests as the top unique wine experience in Napa, the inaugural Quattro Vino prompted the decision to craft an entire series of exclusive wine tours and epicurean food adventures. Celebrating the best of what Napa has to offer, the four new Quattro Vino tours begin with a sparkling wine tasting, followed by a four-course Napa Valley-style meal curated by the Napa Valley Wine Train’s Executive Chef Donald Young, and tastings at three of Napa’s iconic wineries on each tour. After departing from the station at 10:15 a.m., guests embark on an unforgettable six-hour, 36- mile round-trip journey from the historic town of Napa to the three premier wineries, arriving back at the train station at 4:15 p.m. Tickets for each of the Quattro Vino tours start at $332 per person. The Estate Tour includes tastings and tours at Domain Chandon, Hall and Inglenook.
The Collective Tour includes tastings and tours at Raymond, Beringer and St. Supéry.
The fourth tour’s name and wineries will be announced at a later date.
Gourmet Express and Vista Dome Car
The Napa Valley Wine Train features antique Pullman rail cars faithfully restored with Honduran mahogany paneling, brass accents, etched glass partitions and plush armchairs that evoke the spirit of luxury rail travel at the beginning of the 20th century.
The Gourmet Express package includes a multi-course gourmet meal from Executive Chef Donald Young, a welcome taste of sparkling wine, coffee and tea during a three-hour journey aboard the vintage train that rides through the scenic Napa Valley. (Available for either lunch or dinner and starting at $149 per person). The Vista Dome Car provides a private dining experience in a Pullman domed railcar as only guests with reserved seating are allowed in the dining area of this two-story car. (Also available for passengers starting at $224 per person).
For those who’d like to include a winery visit on their journey, the Napa Valley Wine Train’s Day Tripper experiences are available for lunch and include a multi-course meal and private tours and tastings at renowned locations such as Charles Krug Winery, Raymond Vineyards, Grgich Hills Estate and Castello di Amorosa winery.
