Introducing our Rosé Garden Party!
A brilliant display of roses greets guests at the Sutter Home Victorian in the heart of California’s wine country and serves as the inspiration for Sutter Home’s newly released rosé. The fragrant aromas and beautiful pink colors of the rose garden are reflected in this summer ready rosé vintage with flavors of fresh strawberries complemented by a crisp, refreshing finish.
For more than 70 years and three generations, Sutter Home has been pouring a delicious, award-winning portfolio of quality wines to their customers. With the introduction of rosé, a semi-dry style, they’re honoring their tradition and inviting wine-drinkers everywhere to share good times with Sutter Home and their newest addition of the artistically labeled rose. Fan favorite mini-bottles of Sutter Home’s rosé are also available.
This is the perfect time of year to spend the day at Sutter Home, and the perfect spot for drinking rosé all day!
The American Dream Tour Wine Tasting Experience
Come and experience the Trinchero family’s American Dream firsthand. Guests will start the tour with a glass of our tasting room exclusive Reserve White Zinfandel made entirely from Napa Valley fruit. Guests will then proceed to the rose garden to witness the beauty of over eighty different species of roses and thirty types of daylilies; and there is always something in bloom. All combined with the quaint koi pond and spectacular architecture, is a sight to behold.
Then, as you walk through the historic Victorian Inn, a selection of wine is offered that compliments each part of the tour. Here the Trinchero family history is told, a “dreams can come true” journey to the American Dream. What began as a humble leap of faith 70 years ago has become one of the most recognizable wines on dinner tables across the country. Here you learn the story behind it.
The Victorian Inn, originally built in 1884 showcases the décor of those times: A French styled antique chandelier, hand watercolor prints, 15th century Missal Pages, and so much more. The tour continues to the back patio where guests can enjoy a glass of refreshing Sutter Home wine and a different perspective of the view. The tour ends back in the tasting room with a taste of Zinfandel Port. The tour is about 45 minutes in length from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Appointments preferred.)
About Sutter Home Family Vineyards
When the Trinchero family purchased the abandoned Sutter Home Winery in the heart of Napa Valley in 1948, they initially scraped by as a small mom-and-pop operation. In 1972, second-generation winemaker Bob Trinchero experienced a “stuck” fermentation and turned this fortuitous accident into one of America’s best-selling wines: White Zinfandel. Widely credited for its pivotal role in introducing Americans to wine, Sutter Home brought delicious, affordable, everyday wines to dinner tables across the country. For 70 years, Sutter Home has remained family owned and today offers more than 20 award-winning varietals to suit any occasion that calls for great wine.
