The Ultimate Wine Tastings Events and Tours
The Napa Valley Wine Train’s Legacy Tour, which is the most popular tour, celebrates a combined 300 years of winemaking history with visits to Mondavi, Krug and V. Sattui Winery. At V. Sattui, guests are treated to a private tour through their vineyards and winery and end in the underground cellars with a seated tasting of their best wines.
Don’t miss the Meet the Maker Dinner event aboard the wine train on May 19. Winemaker, Brooks Painter and President Tom Davies will host a first-ever V. Sattui night aboard featuring a multi-course, wine paired dinner showcasing their highly-rated, vineyard-designated wines and reserve bottlings.
The Tower Tasting, hosted by seasoned wine veterans, is upscaled with optional cheese and charcuterie boards to pair with limited bottlings of premium-tier and reserve wines. The staff puts on an amazing show impressing guests with gracious hospitality and their knowledge of food and wine.
The Terrace Tasting is located behind the winery on a private patio overlooking Vittorio’s Vineyard and is the hidden gem of our experiences. Here, you’ll sit at hand-made, wrought-iron chairs and tables and enjoy the fabulous, uninterrupted views of the valley’s vineyards and mountains in a idyllic and private area.
The Blending Seminar is their most popular experience for 2018. Become a winemaker for the day and blend your own Paradiso from individual lots of Cabernet, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Petite Verdot. With pipettes and graduated cylinders as tools, you’ll blend your own wine with guidance from their third level Somm Marty Salvin. His extensive knowledge of blending and wines makes this informative and fun experience one to remember!
