Vina Robles Vineyards & Winery
A major destination within the collection of Eastside Paso Robles wineries is Vina Robles Vineyards & Winery. The hilltop grounds are easily accessible from Highway 46 East at 3700 Mill Road, just five minutes from Downtown Paso Robles.
At Vina Robles Vineyards & Winery, Swiss vintners Hans Nef and Hans R. Michel created a spacious and inviting niche. Spanish mission with modern influences are evident in this v-shaped Hospitality Center, where a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace complements the airy setting on their scenic 30-acre estate.
Their well-rounded selection of Estate wines, made with fruit from their six Paso Robles vineyards, offer something for everyone. The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon, 2014 RED4 and 2017 Sauvignon Blanc are just three of their most popular gold and silver medal winners. In June, Vina Robles’ 2014 Petite Sirah was awarded 97 points and a Gold Medal for Best of Class at the Los Angeles International Wine Competition.
Fresh Features for Summer
“Our 2017 Vermentino is one of our Estate Series wines; we grow the fruit for it on our estate Huerhuero Vineyard,” said Marketing Manager Catherine Jaeger. We just released it in April, and it’s so popular that we expect it to be gone by the end of the summer! This Vermentino is dry and medium-bodied with lush melon, pear and apple flavors. Plus, its acidity makes it naturally food-friendly. It’s just a delightful wine.”
Vina Robles offers lunch for their guests, served on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Brunch is served on Sundays from 11am to 3pm. Seating is available on the luxurious patio or inside the Tasting Room.
“Our two most popular entrees during warmer weather are the grilled Shrimp Salad and the Ahi Tuna Sandwich. Both are great with our entire range of whites along with our rosé,” said Jaeger. “But if you’re looking for a red, our Zinfandel has the fruitiness and acidity that make it a great go-to food wine, as well.”
Close by, just off Union Road, Vina Robles is putting the finishing touches on its new winery. Check their website at vinarobles.com with more details to come or call for more info at (805)227-4812.
