Borrowed from an old Spanish word which loosely translates to “making friends,” Amista Vineyards was founded on the belief that wine is a source of endless discovery and rich friendships. Amista’s philosophy is centered on the pleasures of wine country living – good wine, good food and good friends.
It all starts with preserving the essential characteristics of the wine’s fruit, using only a light touch of oak to yield approachable and food-friendly wines.
This spirit of friendship is evident from the warm welcome at the door all the way through your visit in the rustic tasting room space where guests can relax, sip a glass of bubbly and take in the vineyard views from the patio. Guests can choose from an array of experiences such as the Classic Flight for $15 per person or the Sparkling Flight for $30 per person. Each flight offers four tastes from their collection of single-vineyard and sparkling wines. For a more in-depth look at their winemaking, opt for the Estate Vineyard Tour & Tasting which features a guided walking tour through portions of the 20-acre estate. Learn about their vineyard practices and on-going restoration efforts with the natural fish habitat in Dry Creek Valley. The 90-minute walking tour is $45 per person, advanced reservations are required.
For foodies, don’t miss their Wine & Food Pairing. Local blue cheese and honey paired with Sparkling Syrah, zesty spiced marinara meatballs paired with Zinfandel and dark chocolate paired with Cabernet Sauvignon are just a few of their curated favorites. Each pairing rotates seasonally and is meticulously selected to showcase their estate wines at their best. Reservations are required, $50 per person, visit the website for details and to reserve a booking.

For our four-legged friends, there’s always a biscuit tasting at the bar; no reservation required.
Vineyard Adventure Walk: In partnership with Sonoma County Winegrowers, visitors can take a self-guided stroll through the beautiful estate vineyards with a map provided upon check-in at the tasting room. Discover their backwater pond which is part of the Habitat Enhancement Project designed to restore the natural fish habitat in Dry Creek. It’s a gentle, one-half mile walk on flat terrain; dogs on a leash and children are welcome.
