Simi Winery has something for everyone – fantastic wines, .friendly, informative staff, a well-stocked Visitor Center, gorgeous grounds and winemaking history galore.
Simi Winery is the longest continually running winery in Sonoma County. It was founded in 1876 by Giuseppe and
Pietro Simi, and even Prohibition didn’t shut down the winery’s production.
Simi Winery’s Visitor Center is spacious and airy, with hardwood floors, a rough-hewn rock fireplace, a long, L-shaped bar and a tasteful selection of wine-related gifts and foods, so visitors can sip, stroll and shop to their heart’s content.
Bring a picnic, purchase your goodies in the Visitor Center or enjoy fresh salads and sandwiches prepared by Simi’s chef (who formerly worked with famous chef Gary Danko) on Fridays and Saturdays. The state-of-the art outdoor kitchen is equipped with a pizza oven and pizza dinners can be reserved for groups of 15-40 people.
Two separate event spaces are available by reservation – the indoor space accommodates up to 75 guests and the picnic area accommodates up to 100 guests. These spaces are available for corporate events, weddings and private parties.
During your visit, don’t miss the chance to purchase some winery-exclusive, single-varietal wines. These “Winemaker Select” wines come from grapes grown in Simi Winery’s prestigious Landslide Vineyard, a 172-acre estate located on Chalk Hill Road in the Alexander Valley. This vineyard possesses such diverse microclimates and soil types that it is sub-divided into 44 distinct blocks. It consistently produces critically acclaimed Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Malbec, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.

The garden that encompasses the picnic area won the honor of “best garden in Healdsburg.”
