The Riboli family still owns and operates their original San Antonio Winery in Los Angeles, now celebrating 103 years of award-winning winemaking. Santo Cambianica, an Italian immigrant, founded the winery in 1917. Just a few years later, Prohibition threatened 100 existing wineries, and all but two handfuls survived the ban on alcohol. Santo, a devout Catholic, escaped extinction of his winery by making sacramental wines. A century later, a second tasting location and wine store exists in Ontario, and a tasting room, bistro, gift shop, and event venue are located on the eastside of Paso Robles.
The abundant Riboli portfolio features nearly 20 brands. Anthony Riboli takes a practical approach to the merits of sustainability, which is not only responsible, but also economical. “Technology helps us to streamline our operation, work more efficiently and preserve natural resources, but it also helps us make better wine,” said Anthony.
