Bacchus Landing
Healdsburg’s beautiful new winery enclave where wine lovers flock to experience micro-bottlings from newcomers in the industry to the most iconic names in wine.

Opened in March 2020, the unfortunate coincidence in timing with pandemic restrictions kept this place under wraps for a bit. Now that wine tasting is back, and bigger than ever, the secret of Bacchus Landing’s curated collective of world-class wineries is out and waiting for you to explore.
Located next door to the Healdsburg Humane Society and minutes from downtown Healdsburg, the three-acre Tuscan-styled tasting cooperative has incredible wines with sampling available indoors or al fresco on the patio. Reservations are not required for the wineries (with exception of The Setting Wines) so guests are encouraged to spend a full day exploring the venue at their leisure. The site also boasts a café & boutique, bocce courts, picnic tables, live music once a month, and an outdoor central piazza.  The wineries are also dog-friendly so bring (leashed) Fido and spend the day relaxing, people-watching, and wine tasting. Additional property amenities included semi-private and private rooms for weddings, conferences, and meetings. Their Wine Lab room can accommodate private tastings/blending seminars and a roof-top terrace makes for the perfect social gathering spot for a cocktail reception or community event.
Founded by Al and Dina Lopez, their children Francisco and Monica run the day-to-day operations at Bacchus Landing. The family’s vision of creating a warm and welcoming destination for wine experiences was born from Al’s entrepreneurial spirit and passion for wine. After moving the family to Sonoma County from Los Angeles in 1998, Al’s hobbyist estate Cabernet Sauvignon soon became a full-fledged brand with Aldina Vineyards. Their wines, along with Dot Wine and 13th & Third Wines can be tasted in the shared tasting room.

SUPPORTING OUR FOUR-LEGGED FRIENDS
If you’re a wine AND dog lover, then these two wineries are for you.

Montagne Russe
Founded by Frenchmen Kevin Bersofsky, an electrical engineer who builds rollercoasters, the collection of wines at Montagne Russe (French for “Russian Mountains” which rollercoasters were believed to be named after), are small-production wines from cool-climate regions such as the Petaluma Gap and greater Sonoma Coast AVA. Their BirchBark Pinot Noir gives 10% of each bottle sale to the BirchBark Foundation, a nonprofit that saves animals’ lives during veterinary emergencies when their owners are unable to afford the necessary care.
Tastings Thurs-Monday from 10am-5pm. $25 per person

Smith Story Wine Cellars
Recently relocated from Anderson Valley to Sonoma County, husband-and-wife-owned Smith Story Wine Cellars began with travels to faraway places drinking wines they love. The power-palates of Ali Smith and Eric Story, both alumni of K&L Wine Merchants in San Francisco, believe simply respecting the land and guiding the fruit in the cellar allows the ultimate expression of the vineyard. Their Lord Sandwich Wines fund Socks for Sandwich (named for their beloved Goldendoodle) provides new socks for those in need across the world as well as angel medical services for the Humane Society of Sonoma County.
Seated tastings on Thursday-Monday at 11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm & 3pm; $25 per person; allow 45 minutes

MORE TO TASTE

Aldina Vineyards
Proprietor Al Lopez and Winemaker Belen Ceja (daughter of renown winemaker Armando Ceja) focus on small-lot Cabernet Sauvignon using minimalist, traditional, and new wine making methods. Subtle touches of oak coupled with their estate fruit grown in volcanic soils high up on a mountain top in Santa Rosa in the newer Fountaingrove District AVA creates exceptional expressions of this classic varietal.
Indoor and outdoor tastings available Thursday-Monday $40 per person; Small Bites Pairing featuring locally curated meats and cheeses additional $15 per person.

AldenAlli
Legendary Pinot producer Dan Kosta of the famed Kosta Browne Winery has partnered with philanthropist Alden Lagasse, Co-founder of the Emeril Lagasse Foundation, to craft cool-climate, terroir driven wines of the highest quality. Two wine flights are available: The Classic Flight of three signature wines from AldenAlli portfolio or the Limited Pinot Flight showcasing a curated selection of limited single vineyard/designate and library Pinot Noir wines.
Tastings on Thursday- Monday from 11am-5pm; reservations suggested, visit aldenalli.com

Dot Wines
In art, the Dot is the purest unit of both form and function. Dot wine is the direct translation of vineyard to bottle. Wife and husband team Lise Asimont (veteran viticulturist) and Shawn Phillips (veteran published gardener) use their love of the land and a “less is more” approach in the cellar to craft exceptional ultra-premium Rosé, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir.
Tastings Thursday-Sundays from 11am- 5pm. Reservations at dotwinerocks@gmail.com.

13th & Third
It all began on 13th Street & Third Avenue in New York City. Owners Gregg and Julie Rothburg met there by happenstance through a mutual love of cycling, wine, and life…and the rest, as they say, is history. Organic and sustainably farmed fruit from Paso Robles is crafted into small batch Rhône style wines balanced to pair with inventive foods.
Tastings Thursday-Monday, 10am-5pm. Reservations recommended, walk-in’s subject to availability.

The Setting Wines
Co-founded in 2014 by famed Winemaker Jesse Katz and friends Jeff Cova and Noah McMahon, The Setting Wines gives back in meaningful ways while encouraging the appreciation of where you are and whom you’re with…“the setting” if you will. Their collection of luxury Bordeaux-styled wines and private barrel programs for select clients showcases his terroir-driven viticultural pursuits yielding wines of elegance, balance, and intensity. Tastings are by-appointment only Thursday-Monday, 10am-5pm. The Appellation Tasting: a selection of four wines of appellation-designate from Oakville, Coombsville, Rockpile Ridge and Alexander Valley.
