Acres of Gorgeous Gardens Await You

Ferrari-Carano’s spectacular gardens surrounding the winery are just as well-known as its wines. What began in 1987 as a labor of love took 16 months just to plan and complete the initial planting, and then 35+ years to grow into the stunning display you see today. Garden aficionados and wine lovers alike enjoy the beautiful gardens and dazzling displays of color that were created all those years ago.
Here, culinary gardens teem with vegetables, herbs and fruit trees, and you’ll enjoy chef-led, Italian-inspired food and wine experiences created with ingredients harvested on site.
Strolling gardens in a park-like setting, gazebos, footbridges, and a meandering stream compliment Italian/French style, classic geometric shapes that form the architectural backbone of the gardens surrounding the Villa. The emphasis is on color and texture, featuring a mixture of trees, shrubs, perennials and annuals, including thousands of tulips that bloom every spring.

Acclaimed Wines, Certified Sustainable Vineyards

VP of Winemaking Sarah Quider and her all women winemaking team work hard to ensure flavor quality in every bottle of wine. Ferrari-Carano’s wines are produced from 100% certified sustainable vineyards, and offerings include a selection of Chardonnays and Cabernet Sauvignons, Viognier, Sangiovese, Merlot, Zinfandel, Siena (Sangiovese blend) and Trésor
(a Bordeaux-style blend), to name a few.

2020 Fumé Blanc

With warm weather upon us, be sure to have a few bottles on hand of the 2020 Fumé Blanc from Sonoma County, recently awarded 93 points at Sunset Magazine’s 2021 International Wine Competition. This wine has delicious profile of grapefruit, peach, lemon chiffon and floral notes with a hint of minerality. The Fumé Blanc has bright acidity and crisp freshness from the cool, stainless steel tank fermentation, while the subtle oak character from neutral French oak barrels adds body, complexity and depth.

2019 UNA – GSM blend

Available only from the tasting room, the 2019 UNA, a GSM blend (92 points, CA Grapevine), is a fruit-forward delightful wine for summer that pairs perfectly with our favorite dishes of the season, like barbecued red meats or pork sliders with bourbon and peaches…or on its own! The Syrah’s rich, full tannins join with the fragrant aromas from the Grenache grapes and a small amount of well-rounded Mourvèdre – wild black raspberry, violets, candied bacon and vanilla bean combine in one delicious wine.
