Opening Night Dining – Thursday, January 26

Opening Night Dining launches ZinEX with a splash! Legendary Winemakers will host you at one of three renowned San Francisco restaurants for an intimate gathering, featuring a luxurious multi-course dinner paired with — what else — Zinfandel! This is an intimate culinary feast where you and your friends will relax and connect in true San Francisco style.

Flights Tasting Seminar - Friday 10am -12pm

Acclaimed winemakers present their highly allocated wines at ZAP’s preeminent seated seminar-style tasting, moderated by none other than the illustrious Joel Peterson! During this guided exploration, you’ll delve into the history and science behind the flavors of Zinfandel. Flights offers unique insight into Zinfandel and allows you to experience the true character of the wines through the eyes of the experts.

Winemakers Dinner - Friday, January 27

The Ralston Ballroom will dazzle during the stylish reception and the wine will flow from magnums and reserve offerings while you mix and mingle under the warm glow of the spotlights. Don’t miss the blockbuster super-silent auction packages at the vibrant display tables with the most sought after Zinfandels. These marvels are all yours for the winning bid! Your elegant evening continues when you move to the Gold Ballroom, sitting with your winemaker host for an extravagant meal exquisitely prepared for the selection of Zinfandels poured. As the final act of the evening opens,  superstar auctioneer, DawnMarie will serve as master of ceremonies. Complete minute-by-minute coverage of the Live Auction begins at dessert service, featuring prizes of unique wine bottles, travel packages and more. Grand Tasting

Winemakers and principals of the Zinfandel world come together at ZAP’s one and only Grand Tasting. It’s the most comprehensive showing of Zinfandels and blends, featuring over 80 wineries from throughout the California wine regions. This all-day expedition will showcase rock-star personalities pouring reserve bottles, limited-production wines and barrel samples at their tables during the first portion of the day. Tasting in the afternoon highlights hundreds of different Zinfandels from the varied growing regions, offering the chance to explore the many dimensions of Zinfandel. The Grand Tasting takes place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at One Market Pavilion in San Francisco – a light, bright space with dramatic soaring ceilings and plenty of space to roam.
The food scene will combine culinary delights with incomparable flavor from talented winery chefs and select restaurants. Chef Mark Dommen and his unrivaled team at One Market Restaurant are throwing open their doors  to roam the restaurant and pavilion to create special ZinEX-clusives just for you.
